Chancel Choir and Handbells
Activies for All
The church’s adult choir is named the Chancel Choir. It meets weekly on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. for rehearsal and sings regularly for Sunday worship service as well as presenting seasonal cantatas through the year. The choir is strictly volunteer but includes talented and dedicated voices.
The church’s hand-bell choir is named the Edith Cheek Corley Memorial Hand-bells after a Homer Methodist native in whose memory the bells were funded at the beginning several years ago. Members of this choir rehearse each Monday at 6:00 p.m. in Don Stewart Hall. They are gifted and committed to their hand-bell ministry. Chimes have been added to the bells which further enhance the beauty of the music.
